Land Rights Monitoring
Landlessness is one of the root causes of poverty. Therefore, the promotion of social stability and the sustainable economic development through improvement of land tenure security and land market stability largely contribute to prevent or solve land conflicts. ADHOC cooperates with Land Dispute Settlement Commission replaced by Cadastral Commission and other NGOs to conduct investigation or solve the conflicts.
Furthermore, the emergency assistance and food are provided to victims of land rights abuses, in particular those who are victims of forced eviction without any compensation while they are pending the court’s decision, and ADHOC lawyers are appointed to defend the land cases at court
Land Disputes Settlement Commissions
ADHOC cooperates with NGOs/IOs and Land Law Working Group to assist the National and Provincial Land Dispute Settlement Commissions in the monitoring of the process of the land conflict resolution., and also to share comments in regard to draft sub-decrees on Cadastral Commission by Ministry of Land Management, Urban, Planning and Construction.
Emergency Assistance
Together with legal assistance, ADHOC provides materials and emergency assistance to victims of human rights violations who are lacking minimum medical care, food, clothing and housing. We are much concerned about the minimum standard of living and protection of victims in accordance with the Cambodian Constitution in 1993.
