The 46 hectars of land conflict between 114 families and H.E Prak Savuth which was started since 2005, now was mediated by ADHOC and led to an agreement. After a meeting of 29 reps. of villagers and Mr. Kim Sovann- a military commander of Kien Svay district and a rep of H.E Prak Savuth’s company, the villagers proposed the company to meet directly with villagers in the afternoon of July 4th, 2011.

On the occasion of the 44th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) which will be held in Bali on 16-17 July 2011, we, civil society organizations (CSOs) from Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam working on human rights and fundamental freedom in Southeast Asian countries, gathered together in Jakarta, Indonesia on 9-10 July 2011, to discuss issues related to the strengthening of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR)’s mandate on promotion and protection.

2 Victims of land dispute were released Read MoreOn June 28, 2011 ADHOC staff observed the protest in front of the EU office organized by 300 protesters of Bk residents.
The demonstration started on Friday June 24th and still continues on today.
The demonstrators representing 07 villages wanted to give a petition to the President of the European Unions (EU) claiming for a flat on the ground with the size of 4m×16m as a trade off for those who have small plot of land or small house.
