A wife was killed by her husband

A wife, Keav Kim Hean, 42 years old, was killed by her husband, on 27 November 2014, at 6:10 pm at Houy Seng’s house (61 years old), 2 village, Treng Troying commune. The victim and her 11 years old son and 10 years old daughter live at 5 village, Treng Troying commune, Phnom Sroch district, Kompong Spue province.

In the evening, the victim sole pork, but the pork was not sole well and she wanted to keep in cold place to sale it tomorrow, but her husband refused and then he started to take the knife cute her under her left breast. The wife was die on the ways to hospital. The victim,a 4^th  wife, the perpetrators committed violence to all his first, second and third wives, they are divorced, because the violence men, and she always abuse violence by her husband.

After, the cooperation between ADHOC, other CSOs and local authority, the perpetrators were arrested on 29 November 2014 at Tayong village, Dombokrong communce, Phnom Sroch district, K. Speu province.  ADHOC keep investigate the case and is providing legal counsel to the victim. Domestic violence is still far too widespread in Cambodia. ADHOC works to stop impunity and to combat all forms of gender based violence.
