Press Conference on the Joint Letter of Civil Society Organizations urging the Intervention of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia On the draft law on access to information to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Phnom Penh, June 15, 2022 – 33 civil society organizations will hold a joint press conference on submitting a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office to expedite the draft law on the right to information on the morning of June 16, 2022. 9:00 am at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The main purpose of the letter is to request the intervention of the Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen to complete the process of drafting the law on “access to information” by Inputs from civil society organizations are submitted to the National Assembly for discussion and approval as soon as possible.
Civil society organizations have been actively involved in ensuring the implementation of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s reform program, particularly in promoting the “right to Information” to contribute to the promotion of human rights and democracy for development in all areas.
