Around 100 villagers from Thmey village, Samrong commune, 
in Kampong Speu’s Phnom Srouch district came to Phnom Penh to hand in a petition to Prime Minister Hun Sen, the Ministry of Justice, and the Anti-Corruption Unit in the afternoon of 06 August 2015, seeking intervention in their land dispute with chief of Thmey village and local land dealers.
Mr Yi Soksan, a senior investigating officer at local human right group ADHOC, was present during the act of the submission of the petition. He reported that there were no altercations when officials of the Prime Minister’s Office received the letter.
